About The Teacher
Ganesh Devarajan hails from a South Indian musical family. He has been teaching Mridangam in the DFW metroplex since 1991 apart from accompanying local and Indian professional musicians. Ganesh also accompanies dance arengetrams and performances on a regular basis. Several students of Ganesh have been supporting local vocalists, music and dance school performances and arengetrams in the DFW metroplex. All this has been possible for Ganesh because of his three excellent Gurus: Thiruvananthapuram Sri Krishna Iyengar, Madurai Sri Venkatakrishnan and Bangalore Sri Kesavan.
With a sound Carnatic musical background combined with an in depth knowledge of Mridangam, Ganesh is able to teach nuances that are required to be a successful accompanist for vocalists and dance performers.
Ganesh currently resides in Plano, TX. He is keen on encouraging the music talents, culture and interests of potential students. Ganesh offers different levels of mridangam classes for aspiring students.
